Chemical Shift

Melissa and I saw “Serenity” on opening night last week. We were happy to see the “Firefly” story continued. Many things that occured in the movie had us thinking that the story didn’t flow well with the series in terms of plot elements and the overall feel. Namely, the killing of one of the main characters, I won’t say which for those who haven’t seen it yet, was totally unnecessary. It did create a certain mood, if that was what Joss Whedon wanted, but that point masked the happiness of later scenes. Overall, the movie was much better than the stuff has come out of Hollywood is quite a while, but it fell short of our expectations.

I just have to ask, what about the men with hands of blue? “Two by two, hands of blue…”
