Games People Play

Lately I’ve been playing some rhythm style Playstation 2 games with Melissa, Konami’s Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2 and Karaoke Revolution Party. DDR was really daunting at first, but I am now pretty good at it, albeit still on the lowest difficulty setting. I’ve been using DDR a lot in work out mode to track calories burned and jogging distance. My favorite song and “dance moves” are Fatboy Slim’s Wonderful Night (radio edit).

Melissa is much better than me in the Karaoke game, of course she’s had years of chorus and drama classes to train her voice and breath control, making me seem practically tone deaf.

The selection of music in both games is pretty good. Some of the DDR music is played on Music Choice’s cable radio dance station and most of the Karaoke Revolution Party music is played on pop and soft rock radio stations.

You aren’t tone deaf dear, you’re just vocally challenged :) Love, Me
