My First Real Snow

Yesterday, I experienced my first real snow. I grew up in northeast Florida, where every eight years or so, something like snow fell. This was the first time I actually saw snow falling and covering everything. I took some pictures, which should be up shortly. A few days prior, a light drizzle of snow fell, but melted as soon as it touched the ground.

On the way home, I bought some deicing salt and a snow shovel for clearing the entrance to the house. I slid a couple times, but luckily didn’t fall.

Given how the weather was behaving the past couple of years, I didn’t expect it to snow at all, until it was July!

Update: Here is a panorama shot of the snow from our front yard.
