I worked a little over four years as a pharmacy technician in a retail pharmacy chain, during my last year in high school and through my undergraduate education.

I graduated with my B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of North Florida in 1997.

I have a little over two years synthetic organic and analytical chemistry experience in medicinal chemistry research at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, prior to graduate school.

I was in graduate school for five and a half years, with the first year at Texas A&M University, where I performed organic synthesis and instrumental analysis on light-emitting materials and other photonics applications. I graduated with a Ph.D. in Organic/Polymer Chemistry in 2005 from the University of Southern California.

I had a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division in China Lake, CA, where I synthesized and analyzed organic heterocyclic materials for energy/power applications. I was awarded the fellowship after writing a proposal to the American Society for Engineering Education.

For nearly two years, I worked at a start up synthesizing and analyzing functional coatings on carbon nanotubes for sensor applications.

I am currently working at a technology company, where I analyze electronics materials for process recommendations and failure analysis, teach professionals, as well as write technical reports and proposal documents.
